Vučjak refugee camp – Bihać (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 2019

In Vučjak camp, some key instructions – like the one displayed in this picture – were provided in English, although English was spoken and understood by just a minority of migrants. Furthermore, most migrants had low levels of literacy and could barely read: written instructions did not mean much to them, despite being crucial to their survival.
